Our Memoirs

We Have lately been looking at memoirs and even made some of our own inspired by James K Baxter, we also borrowed some of his structure like the start the 5 nouns the 5 verbs and the ending. Here is my one.

The campsite was usual enough ;
it had a playground, a creek, a beach a kitchen and even a campsite shop. My sister, my friends and I did what girls do - swam in the clear sea, ran madly through the maze of tents, helped in the kitchen, roasted marshmallows on the beach, snuck out to watch the stars
Doing nothing important

  1. 'This Town' was such a good poem to borrow the structure of wasn't it? I really enjoyed your poem Nellie as I could really picture your campsite. It sounds much like my family's campsite at Christmas! I wonder what other poems of James K Baxter we can find to use?
